For the Love of Film:  free-for-all month of May!

Here’s another blog circle entry with my group of film-loving friends!  This month it was an open theme, we could shoot whatever film, whatever camera, whatever we wanted.  Since I recently acquired a Canon EOS-3 35mm camera, I took it with me on Spring Break, loaded with my favorite Fuji Pro 400H.  And….I fired off 3 frames (including the very first one above) when the battery died!  There wasn’t anywhere on Marco Island that carried the unusual battery, so I had to wait until we hit Atlanta on our drive home to get a new one.  Even though I missed out on lots of lovely, filmy beach shots, we still had some lovely weather at home that left me pleased with my first roll through the camera!  I love the EOS-3 - the eye control focusing is amazing!  And the fact that I can use all my existing lenses on it just means I’ll take it for a spin more often.  :)

In memory of Ayrton, here’s a gifset I made a while ago that I thought I’d bring back.

Renaissance Nerd: Ignoring the ups and downs of The Good Wife season finale . . .

quixoticpenguin:

I realized during the last episode why I root for Will and can’t stand Peter. It has nothing to do with who I think would be a better match for Alicia or who I think it the better man. Neither of them is the better man. Will and Peter both live their lives in the grey areas. Politics and law get…
